Which format should I choose?
MP4 with H.264 plays on just about any device, in every browser and on social media. WebM is an open format used mainly on websites.
Why does converting take longer than trimming?
When converting, your device recreates every frame. A computer with a recent browser often uses the graphics card for this; a phone takes longer.
Is my video sent anywhere?
No. Converting happens in your browser, using the video components your browser already has. Nothing goes to a server.
