Extract audio from a video
A speech, a song or an interview from a clip: keep just the sound.
How it works
Extract audio from a video in three steps
Choose your video
Drop it in the box or choose it. Spoel checks what sound is in it.
Choose the format
MP3 plays everywhere, M4A is often lossless, WAV is for anyone who keeps editing.
Save and download
Spoel saves the sound as a separate file. The picture is left out.
Questions
Good to know
Is any quality lost?
With M4A, usually not: most phone videos have AAC audio, and Spoel copies that as it is. MP3 recreates the sound, at a quality you will not hear the difference in.
Can I use the sound from any video?
Only use recordings you hold the rights to yourself, or that you have permission for. Other people’s music and films are usually protected.
Is my video sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. Nothing goes to a server.
